Also in the house were Ralf Kuettel (Trestle on Tenth) and Shaunna Sargent (Betto) who all put up a valiant fight (just like the '49ers) with blood sausage, pork-spiked chocolate and more than a little head cheese. All of the dishes paired well with the potent mason jar Manhattans that were flowing freely from the back bar.Last night was a big one for Iron Chef Marc Forgione - not only did he take the coveted trophy in the annual heritage pig cook-off, Cochon 555, his beloved NY Giants won a perch in the Super Bowl (the chef was sporting a Big Blue T-shirt rather than his normal chef whites).
