M. Wells, Kutsher's Do Brunch

Long Island City diner M. Wells may not be ready to reopen at a new location, but the French-Canadians behind the space are hosting a series of pop-up brunches and dinners, including two that are coming up this weekend. On Saturday, the chef from the eatery will cook brunch at LIC's Manducatis Rustica, where they've been holding up shop while they look for some new digs. The party starts at 10 AM, and eaters can expect to stay for "a couple of hours" and enjoy a passed around bottle of sambuca. The seating costs $50 per person and you can RVSP here: Write@MWellsDiner.com. M. Wells people will also be on hand at P.S. 1 this Sunday, where they will dish out two barbecue sandwiches to museum goers.

Over in Manhattan, Jewish-American joint Kutsher's also has announced brunch service. The extensive menu will feature items like reubens and latkes. The meal will be served from 10 AM to 3:30 PM, you can take a look at the full menu below (212-431-0606).

  1. Why did M Wells close in the first place? I went their once and the service was terrible, but not bad enough to collapse the whole business. what up?

  2. They lost their lease to a greedy landlord. The space is boarded up now.
