A Look at Tavernita, Now Open in River North

Drew Templeton
A River North Spaniard with scenester appeal, Ryan Poli hot spot Tavernita - a venture with Mercadito Hospitality and Tippling Bros. - features a warm-but-spacious, wood-trimmed dining room with checked tile floors, globes of warm lighting and a shareable menu (flatbreads, crostini, crudos) inflected with Latino-flavors; the companion San Sebastian-inspired pintxos bar, Barcito, a stand-friendly spot for one-bite noshes, will open soon, showcasing a healthy selection of kegged cocktails and housemade, on-tap vermouth.

  1. Tavernita must be one of the best restaurants in
River North. I simply love the interior design most especially the flooring. The carpet complements well with the interior design, tables and chairs. I look forward to visiting this place soon.
