Is Taco Bell, Chipotle or Another Chain Linked to Last Year's Salmonella Outbreak?

A salmonella outbreak that sickened 68 people in 10 states October and November of last year has been linked to a mysterious eatery dubbed "Restaurant Chain A" by the CDC, but recently the field may be narrowing in terms of which chain may have been the culprit. Food Safety News reports that six fast food "Mexican-style" chains - Taco Bell, Chipotle, Qdoba, Taco John's and Taco Del Mar have locations in at least 7 of the 10 states that reported victims of the outbreak. Thus far, only two of the six chains contacted by FSN for comment responded, both denying that there is any connection. Read the full story here.
