Bier Beisl Announces Opening Date

Former Patina chef de cuisine Bernhard Mairinger says he'll be opening Bier Beisl, his long-awaited "first authentic Austrian restaurant in Los Angeles" on (tentatively) February 20, offering the likes of schnitzel, zwiebelrostbraten and apfelstrudel, along with a selection of many beers and a tasting menu of sausages and of schnapps. There will also be a communal stammtisch table for locals and those who want to feel like locals. As an added perk, it'll be open open weekdays to midnight and Saturdays till 2 AM - no small thing in early-to-bed Beverly Hills (9669 Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-271-7274).
